No matter whether your data is in Neo4j on your local machine, an on-premise server, or a cloud VM you manage, we can help you migrate to Neo4j Cloud. During the Preview, the Neo4j Cloud team can take a Neo4j dump file and load it into your database on Neo4j Cloud.
Create a dump file
To create a dump file, simply use the neo4j-admin dump command. The neo4j-admin dump command, which operates on an offline database, creates an exact copy of your database.
Make it available
To load your dump file into Neo4j Cloud, the Neo4j Cloud team will need to download it. Perhaps the easiest way to make your dump file available is to place it on Dropbox. Once the file is on Dropbox, you can share a link to it without exposing it broadly.
We can alternately retrieve your file from S3, an FTP site, website, or other location of your choosing. If you'd prefer an alternate solution, just drop us a line.
Send a support email
Once your dump file is available online, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Include the following:
- Your name
- The Bolt URL of your database
- Instructions for retrieving your dump file
We'll retrieve your dump file, load it into your Neo4j Cloud database, and send you an email as soon as work is complete.
Once you've received confirmation that the Neo4j Cloud Team has imported your dump file into Neo4j Cloud, delete the dump file you made available above.
Note: loading a Neo4j dump file into Neo4j Cloud replaces all existing data in the target Neo4j Cloud database, so make sure that the target database is empty or doesn't contain irrecoverable data.
